Hello, this is Ho Chi Minh City town information.
When traveling abroad, the first thing to check is how to get to the hotel from the airport.
As of March 2019, Ho Chi Minh has no rail or subway transportation from the airport, so the only way to get to the city is by public bus, taxi, Grab (app), or pick-up from a hotel or tour company.
The first things you should be aware of at the airport are snatching, checking the amount at a currency exchange, and an unlicensed taxi.
This is the place where there are the most crimes aimed at travelers. Be sure to take care of your baggage, check the number of digits when you change money, and use taxis from major taxi companies as much as possible.
Any taxi company that can enter the airport can be trusted, but some of the taxi companies stop at general parking lots and call outan unlicensed taxi from there.
There are several exchange offices at the arrival exit. However, the rate is bad, so it is recommended that you keep the currency exchange to a minimum.
If you arrive at midnight, the money changers in the city are also closed, so change your meals at convenience stores and restaurants. Even so, if you change around 5,000 yen, it's enough to spend the night.
There is also a Citibank ATM near the currency exchange office. If you have an international cash card, you can debit yen denominated here.
However, the rate is worse and the fees are too expencive. If you have cash, use it priority.
Take the arrival exit and turn left to find a taxi stand. While walking up to this point, a Vietnamese may come and ask you to “take a taxi.”
But there is also a suspicion of some vicious unlicenced taxi, so let's ignore until the taxi stand.
At the taxi stand, staffs wearing uniforms from each taxi company stand. Please tell them that you want to take a taxi.
You may get a taxi number or a driver's business card, so keep it until you get off.
The taxi fare is about 150,000 VND to the city center, but the airport use fee of 10,000 VND will be added separately.
Location: Exit the arrivals and go left and there is a taxi stand
How to use: Get on the taxi as it is, tell the destination or show your address.
Fee: about 150,000 VND (about 700 yen)"
Only one city busservice. Stops everywhere on the way from the airport to the city center, but if you don't know how to get off or are uneasy, you should ride to the end.
The last stop is the bus terminal in front of Ben Thanh Market. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Pham Ngu Lao and Dong Khoi Street. However, it cannot be used on night flights because the service end time is early.

Take the tour car to the city
If you are signing up for a tour, a local attendant should be waiting for you with a placard near the arrival point.
However, there is one caveat here. Everybody doesn't know the face of the local clerk, so it's easy to go with you when you are called, but make sure you check the travel agency.
Some malicious traders are mixed and sent to the city or forced to travel around tourist attractions to charge a high price.
The main way from Ho Chi Minh City to the airport is a local bus or a taxi. The bus is the most reasonable.
As for the bus to the airport, one bus is currently operating (July 2015). The number is “152”. It is also safe for those who are worried about where to get on. The first departure is from the bus station in front of Ben Thanh Market, and since the airport is the end point, you just have to ride.
Ben Thanh Market Bus Terminal was rebuilt in 2013. Since the place where the numbers line up varies, this is the same system as in Japan. Since the airport is number 152, please stand in the place where the number is written and drop your hand when the bus arrives.

If you take a taxi to the airport, you have a hotel person call you a taxi, or hail a taxi yourself.
In the latter case, please tell the driver to International airport.
Because the airport is adjacent to international and domestic flights, there is a possibility that you may head to the domestic flight by mistake.
The charge to the airport is about 150,000 VND from the city center. If you have a heavy baggage, give it a tip of 10,000 to 20,000 dong.
How was it? Vietnam doesn't have a railroad at this time.
It is recommended to go to your destination safely by taxi, but it may be one of the pleasures of your trip to be blown by a local bus in the wind of Southeast Asia.
